I thought I would take this time to fill you in on where I have been lately. Most of you are aware that I became ill after leaving Rocky Flats (Nuclear Weapons Facility). It all started with breathing problems I encountered while working at the Nevada Test Site. Later after coming back from England I became very ill and went to the hospital. The cat scan confirmed I had enlarged lymph nodes along with skin irritations. I was later diagnosed with Sarcoidosis after extensive testing and surgery at National Jewish Hospital in Denver. I still go there once or twice per year for testing and follow up visits.
In September of this year the Department of Labor issued a new directive regarding people with Sarcoidosis. That directive said if you have medically diagnosed Sarcoidosis and have a work history involving work with Beryllium that the diagnosis of Sarcoidosis is not accurate. The presumed diagnosis is now Beryllium disease. Beryllium disease is a much more severe disease with many complications as the disease progresses. There is though good news regarding the claim I have filed against the U.S. Government. With a diagnosis of Beryllium disease I have a very good opportunity to win my case. I talked today with the Department of Labor and they are about ready to send my case to the ejudication board. They believe I will win part if not all of my claim.

As I write Jackie is on her way to the doctor who handles her diabetes now. Ever since Jackie was hospitalized for three days she has been struggling to lower her blood sugar. We are both on a new diet where we watch how much fat and sugar is in our diet. We have both lost some weight so I suppose it is not all bad.Tom, Julia and the girls will be coming to our house for Christmas and we are all looking forward to that. Jackie has looked forward for a long time to having her grandgirls here on Christmas morning. I will take plenty of pictures while everyone is here and will post them on my blog.
Jackie and I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
For all those in Texas enjoy your time together and hopefully we will all be together soon.

Until next time this is Danny O..............
